Q. How much does the ticket cost?
- For Bangladeshi Citizen above 5 Yr age - BDT 100
- Citizens of SAARC Countries- BDT 300
- Foreigners- BDT 500
Admission is free to the Bangabandhu Military Museum for the following visitors:
- Freedom fighters
- All visitors under the age of 05-year-old
- Persons with special needs
- Admission is free for all visitors on Independence Day (26 March), Armed Forces
Day (21 November), Victory Day (16 December).
Q. How can I buy a ticket at concession price?
We do not sell concession tickets.
Q. Can I get a refund?
The sale of tickets for admission to the museum is considered a sale of leisure
services and confers no right to a refund. Tickets cannot be refunded or resold.
However, in the event of cancellation or modification of the relevant service by
the Bangabandhu Military Museum , or an error in processing the order by the
museum, you will be entitled to a refund.
Q. What methods of payment can be used?
Only online purchase using Debit or Credit Cards, Mobile Banking
(bkash/nagad/rocket etc) and Internet Banking can be used as payment methods for
museum tickets.
For institutional visit payments please contact the museum office.
Children and families
Children under 05 Years and children needing special support are entitled to free
admission.
Q. Are prams allowed in the museum?
Prams are indeed allowed in the museum. The model you have must not be too large
to be allowed in the museum lifts.
Only baby carriers worn on the front of the body, not on the back, are
allowed.
While visiting
Q. Am I allowed to take photos?
You can take photos only but no videos inside the galleries of the museum.
Q. Can I bring a suitcase to the museum?
You cannot bring large bags or suitcases to the museum but lockers are available
free of charge for smaller items.
All items left in the lockers must be collected the same day. The museum shall
not be held responsible for any items of value placed in the lockers.
Q. Will some rooms be closed on the day I have planned to visit?
Due to renovation of some exhibition areas, some parts of the museum may have
limited access for some time. But mostly in all open days, the galleries remain
open for the visitors.
Q. How much time does it take to visit the Bangabandhu Military Museum?
The Bangabandhu Military Museum is huge, with over 6 levels with artifacts! It’s
impossible to see everything in less than 3 hours.
Group / Institutional Visit
Q. How far ahead can I/do I have to book a time slot?
If you wish to visit the museum from your institute (educational / official) a
reservation must be made in advance. We recommend making the booking as soon as
possible but minimum 07 working days is mandatory for booking of institutional
visit. Visit the ‘Intuitional Visit’ page for details about school / official
group visitors.
Q. How many people can visit per group (pupils and leaders included)?
Groups may comprise 100 people maximum.
Q. Can our group take a break during the visit or have lunch at the museum?
Chairs are available throughout the museum if you need to take a break during the
visit. You cannot eat or drink in the exhibition rooms. For lunch, you can visit
one of the restaurants available outside the museum galleries.
